Scrapbook Process Video: Stamping & Scrapbooks
I've been filming some process videos again and I started with the Studio Calico Starlight Kit and stamps this time around. I started out with a photo from Disneyland (naturally!) and some of my favorite patterns from this month's kit to create an interesting, colorful layout that's fun and easy to make.
I used a sprinkle of buttons and strong shapes to create movement. That and a few tips on how to bring more stamping into your scrapbook layouts. Take a look at how the layout came together in the video below.
Tips & Tricks:
- For a quick and easy way to get all of your stamped text centered perfectly, remember to stamp first, then glue. It's much easier to center your paper elements around a pre-stamped image or sentiment.
- Emphasize the repetition of shape in your design. Nothing adds more fun to a layout than a burst of floating circles. Emphasize the circular design with alphabet stickers, buttons, or sequins.
- Add a final layer of texture to your layouts with a sprinkling of buttons, sequins, or enamel shapes. The final touch is an important one!
Creating colorful pages with textured elements is a fun way to tell a story! Thanks so much for stopping by and watching today. Now go break out your "Starlight" Kit and get to creating!

Sunny Studios Buttons + Pigment Ink Stamping
Hey there everyone, Nancy here today with a look at the Cute as a Button stamp and die set. I love intricate designs that can be created quickly and this set delivers! The multiple sentiments are perfect for so many different types of cards. I love the versatility and dose of cute.
The buttons were stamped using two shades of pigment ink for an opaque and colorful coverage. Layering the pigment ink gives the buttons depth and a pop of color. The "sew" title was created using a steel die and layered on a bed of buttons. The stamped needle image leads straight to the point - happy we're friends! A sprinkle of sequins in a few sizes adds movement to the design.
Take a closer look at the Cute as a Button stamp and die set for your next craft fix. There's something about creating all of those little circular shapes that feeds the crafty soul (and makes for cute cards!).

Neat and Tangled March Release Day 4 | Classic Tags 2
Welcome to the last day of the Neat and Tangled March release. Today we have the Classic Tags 2 steel die. I love the versatility of this die set. I used it here to create a small birthday banner.
The Classic Tags 2 steel die includes the tag toppers and circle reinforcements. This makes creating custom tags quick and easy. I added a strip of black and white patterned paper to edge of the tags to give the stamped images a "ground".
To add a punch of color to the basic white tag, I stamped a scene with the Big Top Birthday stamp and steel die set and colored it with copic markers. This stamp set is one of my favorites from Neat and Tangled. I like to color and this one is perfect for bold color palettes.
The Class Tag 2 steel die also includes banner tags with reinforcements like the one above. I love to add stamped words to customize these small tags.

Today we've got florals! the Neat and Tangled Flower Medallion stamp set and die are a beautiful, solid pattern to add to your collection. I used he steel die to create the petals on this pretty flower.
The green petals were stamped with shades of green ink and then cut out with a steel die. It's a really simple and bold design with a pop of sequins.

Hey there, welcome to the March Neat and Tangled release. The first stamp set up is the Yo Ho set of pirates which I love. I especially love that there is a girl pirate!
I created this card on kraft cardstock, stamping the images with Versafine ink. Then I used my Prismacolor Pencils to add a splash of color to the scene. This is the first time that I've tried this technique. I found that blending shades with colored pencils was much easier than with Copics. I could even erase mistakes. I thought this was a pretty good result for a first try.
To create some texture between the white card base and the kraft scene, I used a fringe steel die to create the layered pop of blue in the center. It's a really simple way to add color and texture to any card.

Neat & Tangled Release: Calathea Giveaway
Welcome to the January Neat and Tangled release featuring the Calathea stamp set. It's a beautiful collection of leaves that can be nested. I love the intricacy of this design!
I used the ultra white Tim Holtz Watercolor paper for the base of the card. The leaves were stamped using Hero Arts White Puff embossing powder. I used the Bella Blvd Illustrated Faith Watercolor set for this card. This is my current favorite watercolor set. I love how rich and creamy the palette is and the colors mix beautifully. After stamping the sentiment with Versafine Ink, the entire base was cut out with a stitched rectangle steel die from Lawn Fawn. I love the finished edge it lends to my card base.

Neat & Tangled Release: Nuts for You!
Welcome to the January Neat and Tangled release week! This is a new team and craft for me and I'm so excited to get started. I like challenges and especially ones that kick in at the start of a year. Let's get started with Nuts for You. I tend to lean towards designs that are whimsical and clever so I'm in love with these little squirrels.
I've been practicing with Copic coloring since this summer, taking classes and practicing, practicing, and practicing some more. That's the real key. Well, that and loving color theory (which I do!).
Visit the Neat and Tangled blog today for more projects from the design team using Nuts for You and a giveaway! Don't forget to leave your comment here to be eligible for a prize pack.
