To create this card, start with a simple watercolored background that your tiny dancers can shine on! I chose the colors based on the patterned paper placed at the bottom edge of the card. All of the tiny dancers were colored with the same palette in mind with Distress Inks. A scattering of tiny stamped daisies gives the card some movement and a dose of dainty.

To create this card I started with a white base with two die cut hearts. The openings were filled with shades of pink cardstock to give them a sunburst effect. The cute koala was watercolored with Distress Inks in Frayed Burlap and Gathered Twigs. The matching sentiment was stamped in the ribbon with black ink and a handful of sequins were placed to add a bit of sparkle!

To create this card I started with a white base and the Hexagon Steel Die. To add a splash of color, cardstock in shades of blue were added to the background. The stamped images were colored with Distress Oxide Inks and popped up with foam tape. All of the sentiments from the set were stacked in the center of the card - I couldn't decide which one I liked best!

Sunny Studios Gingerbread House
I'm wrapping up the Christmas card making for the season with one of my favorite sets from the Sunny Studio holiday release. This one is a dream to color. There are so many possibilities and color schemes for a village of gingerbread houses.
I created a starry sky background with a splash of ombre watercolor using Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans and Broken China. A splatter of water lends a twinkling sky effect that gives the background great depth. The gingerbread house was colored with Zig Clean Watercolor Pens for a bright splash of color. The smaller Christmas trees are from the Christmas Home Stamp set. The title was stamped and embossed in white ink on a black background to give it some pop. Last, a shower of Christmas lollipops were added just beneath the starry sky to give the card some movement and color
This was such a fun card to create with some simple watercolor techniques. Check out the Jolly Gingerbread stamp and steel die set for your next round of Christmas cards!

Neat & Tangled October Release Day 1 | Get Yeti for Christmas!
Hey there, welcome to the first day of the October Neat and Tangled release. The first stamp set up is called Get Yeti and it's all about whimsical winter and Christmas. I love all of the different scene possibilities included in this set. Icons likes these that are easy and fun to color are my favorites.
I used the Neat and Tangled Get Yeti stamp set to create this fun Christmas themed card. The base of the card was created by blending Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemonade. There's a bit of green where the yellow overlapped with the blue. Next, a scene was created with a giant yeti peeking from behind purple mountains at this wintery scene. The stamped icons were all watercolored using Distress Ink. A christmas sentiment stamped in black at the bottom of the card and a sprinkle of clear sequins mimicking snow complete the card.

Sunny Studios Design Team!
I'm so happy to be on the Sunny Studios Stamps design team! I started making cards last summer to get a break from the big scrapbook canvases that I was working on. I fell in love with these tiny pieces of art. I love the coloring, the cuteness and the challenge of a new craft.
This is the first cards that I made for Sunny Studios with the Pirate Pals stamp set. I love these cute little guys! I used the wave steel cut die to create a perfect spot for my peek-a-boo pirates.
A wash of Distress Ink in Broken China over the front adds a punch of color to front of the card. All of the stamped images were colored in with Copic markers. I'm still getting the hang of these and practice (and more practice) has definitely helped!
The next set of cards were made using the fun Oceans of Joy stamp set. This set is so very versatile and the addition of a bouquet of balloons makes it perfect for all of those birthday cards I make year after year.
I started the card by using Distress Ink in Broken China on watercolor paper to create the wash of aqua color on the front of the card. Next, I cut out three windows and added a sentiment to the upper right hand corner.
All of the stamped images were colored with Copic markers and tucked behind the windows in peek-a-boo effect. A few scattered sequins completes this ocean of birthdays card.
Here’s a peek at a second card that I created using the leftover images I colored from the Oceans of Joy stamp set. I based this one on a very subtle bubble background in the center. I used all of the bubble stamps with very light grey ink to fill in the circular window. A few sequins and all of the leftover colored images complete the card!
Next time you need a few under the sea cards, grab Oceans of Joy and color your heart out!

Neat and Tangled June Release Day 2 | Beach Day
Hey there, welcome to the first day of the June Neat and Tangled release. The second stamp set up is called Beach Day and it's a fun whimsical design. I love these little swimming animals because I know that the cards I make with these will make someone smile. They are that cute!
To create this card I used a circle die to cut out three windows from a 5-1/4 x 4-1/2 card base. I used Distress Ink in Broken China to create the watery background. Next, I used the Neat and Tangled Beach Day stamp set to create the scene. Copic markers were used to give those stamped images a pop of color!
A few sprinkled sequins and a sentiment finish off this fun beach day card.

Ink Blended Cards
I'm in my second month of the Neat and Tangled design team and can I say, I'm loving the card making process. I think it's the coloring and working with color that gets me. Working on a tiny canvas (compared to scrapbook pages) is so nice. It feels so do-able and I can still pack a lot into that small space.
Today I'm over on the Neat and Tangled blog with this card using the Cottontail Cuties stamp and die set. I wanted to create a card that was light and airy with some color. Something that would give me a feeling of the Spring season that I'm so very looking forward to!
Today I'm over on the Neat and Tangled blog with this card using the Cottontail Cuties stamp and die set. I wanted to create a card that was light and airy with some color. Something that would give me a feeling of the Spring season that I'm so very looking forward to!
To create the soft background, I used the Scalloped Simply Stencil and Distress Ink in Word Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade. The trick to ink blending is to use a foam applicator and a very, very light hand. I mean barely touching the paper. You can always add more color, but if you apply too much you'll get blotches and that's no fun. So patience and practice (lots) is the key!
Since the background is so soft and airy, I went with bold for the top layer. Using Copic markers to color in the images gives me that punch of intense color that I needed. A sprinkle of sequins and a stacked title finish up the card.
Cottontail Cuties + ink blending make for some beautiful cards. Now let's keep our fingers crossed for that the Spring season arrives sooner rather than later!

We're on day three of new February releases from Neat and Tangled! This set is my favorite from this week. Hello Cottontail Cuties stamp set and coordinating die.
I created the background with Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass. The Cottontail Cuties stamped image was colored with Copic markers and popped up with some foam tape. The pretty title was created with the Neat and Tangled Celebrate die set . I used Distress Ink in Orange Marmalade and Worn Lipstick to add a little color to the title.
