I've just finished up another video over at 2Peas. My assignment was to do a page about my favorite places. I immediately thought - DISNEY!, but then I really thought about it and came up with something a little different.
This page documents all of those places close to home that we visit all the time (or at least once a year). I love to mix up photos from different places and times like this. I think they make for interesting pages.
For a look at how I created the page, take a peek at the video. Oh, and try not to cringe when I use an entire sheet of October Afternoon paper for the 2" border at the bottom. I've actually gotten emails expressing outrage over the waste! This confirmed paper hoarder was just trying to use one of the 5 sheets I've collected along the way. Ha! By all means, cut a 2" inch strip and create your page on a white cardstock background. I do that all the time.
I'd also like to take a moment to announce the winners for some of my previous give-aways. Sorry I got so behind in blogging that I forgot to pick these earlier!
WINNER of a spot in the 2Peas Stampers' Workshop is:
Peaname: Cherrypicker
WINNER of an Echo Park collection is:
Patti @ mawdog1
WINNER of the $10 2Peas Gift Certificate is:
Peaname: sillypea
Thank you all so much for commenting, I'll be in touch with how to collect your prizes!

ReplyDeleteOh this is cute!! I love your pages. So inspiring. And hey.. if you want to use a whole sheet of patt. paper.. so be it. :) Your stash and your money. Kind of nice to use it up. :)

ReplyDeleteYou've shown just a few of the reasons that I love living in NJ. There is always so much to see and do here. Love your map idea!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe that people were actually angry about this. I was personally appalled by the thread on two peas calling you out for this. Come on people.... You scrap your way and I will scrap mine. If you paid for the product (or had it provided for you) then the product belongs to you and so does the inspiration and creativity. I just shake my head at people actually thinking they have the right to be outraged at your design choice. Ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteAnother fantastic travel layout, Nancy! Love the map idea. My creative wheels are turning . . .
ReplyDeleteHi... saw this layout on pinterest... love it... then I was looking closer and noticed that these are all places close to me (I live in Manalapan, NJ)!!

About using a whole sheet of paper for the two inch stip...it's really no one's business how you chose to scrap. I love your layouts!
